The history, culture, landscape , agriculture, views and sense of wide-brown-land are an experience that gives the visitor a feeling of where we are from. The people of our area exude the sense of welcoming and friendliness that comes from a landscape which has elements of isolation and hardship – all the people in the region are ‘people-people’. Lake Cargelligo itself or the River in Lachlan are great fishing spots

Majority of snakes in Australia are poisonous. It is best to assume that any snake you see could be poisonous as mainly the ones out here are Brown Snakes which are one of the most deadliest snakes in the world. If you see one please ensure you do not go anywhere near it. If bitten contact emergency as quick as possible and slow down the bite by wrapping it in a tourniquet.

The lake is safe enough to swim in, water ski or go fishing or relax on a boat. However it would be advised not to drink any water straight from the lake.

No where in lake has any Jetskis that are available for hire, so it is suggested if you do want to jetski you have your own with you.
