The rush of adrenaline is often felt in the Heart of NSW with some of the most heart pumping events literally on the doorstep of our homes.
The Slattery Auctions Condo 750 is an off road navigational rally for motorbikes, cars, buggies, quads and motorbikes with sidecars. This annual event attracts competitors from all over Australia including Dakar riders and Australian Safari winners as well as numerous other riders whose aim is just to finish the gruelling 750 km track. Autos compete as 2WD, 4WD or buggies and boast local and interstate competitors. Motos compete as two wheeler, quad or our newest addition, the motorbike with sidecar class. Admission is free to all official Slattery Auctions Condo 750 events held over a two day period.
The Yellow Mountain Cross Country is a two day motorbike event consisting of approximately 220 kilometres each day and is run the first weekend of August each year racing between the townships of Condobolin and Tottenham. It is run as an Interclub between the two MNSW Motocycle clubs of Tottenham and Condobolin. Each year the race starts and finishes alternately at either Tottenham or Condo and it’s a great weekend of racing.
Water skiing is another popular heart starter in Lachlan with ideal water skiing locations being Lake Cargelligo and Gum Bend Lake. Lake Cargelligo is the perfect place for recreation of all kinds with a surface area of 1,440 hectares and an average depth of 3.7 metres so you will have plenty of room to water-ski, wakeboard or go for a spin on a biscuit.
