Oli Townsend Memorial Fund

In 1998 the Lake Cargelligo community came together and held a concert to assist the Townsend family when their son Oliver became seriously ill.

After Oli passed away later that year, the family generously created a fund called the Oliver Townsend Memorial Fund (OTMF) to help other district families that find themselves in crisis.

This fund has helped over 60 families to-date.

To support this Fund a concert has been held every two years called the Oliver Townsend Memorial Concert.

Unfortunately, due to Covid 19 the concert has been unable to run during 2020 or 2021.
As part of the GoFundMe initiative, Adam Kerezsy has posted a video to YouTube where he reflects on the fund and how it all began: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-6lGI7Vs5w… .
Adam has also started recording and uploading songs in order to encourage people to consider donating. ‘They’re nothing fancy. I just hit record, pick up the guitar and play just like the concert’ (egs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RR3Tw92m8kg & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4zqV_AYiFg&t=18s).

As the restrictions have made it quite difficult to fund raise, we are kindly asking for community support to keep this fund helping those who need it.

Donations are very welcome and appreciated at https://gofund.me/bbeb91a9
All donations are tax deductible and receipts will be generated via the GoFundMe page.
