Lake Brewster

Surface area when full: 6100, maximum water depth: 3.7, storage capacity: 153000 mega litres, usable water: 133000 mega litres.

Travel along Hillston road about 42kms until you come to a bridge and canal. Turn left over the grid along to canal to Lake Brewster. A wild life reserve of some forty thousand acres with many species of water birds.

To visit the weir and camping/ picnic area, turn right of the main road over the grid and travel along the track over the canal watching for a sign to the weir. Here you can view the Lachlan River and rest under the cool trees or do a bit of fishing, barbecue and toilets are situated in the park.

Please remember to protect our wildlife (no guns or dogs allowed). Beware after heavy rains as these roads are not sealed.
